Articolata in dodici uscite mensili (le prime undici di 94 pagine di fumetto, l'ultima di 240), la mini-serie narrerà la storia di uno scienziato inglese che, all’alba dello scorso secolo, organizza una spedizione al Polo Sud, all'epoca ancora inesplorato. Le inaspettate scoperte che farà durante quel pericoloso viaggio cambieranno per sempre la sua vita, portandolo a scegliere la via del Male e a creare una spaventosa minaccia per tutto il genere umano. La lunga avventura, ambientata in Inghilterra, al Polo Sud e tra le isole del Pacifico, si svilupperà in un ampio arco narrativo che coprirà più di vent'anni, permettendovi di seguire i personaggi coinvolti nella saga, vedendoli nascere, crescere e persino morire, mentre i malvagi piani di Greystorm si svilupperanno fino a giungere a compimento, ve lo anticipiamo, nell'undicesimo numero della serie. Il dodicesimo albo, più lungo degli altri, racconterà, come in una sorta di "appendice", lati nascosti e sviluppi inaspettati di questa storia. Greystorm è creato da Antonio Serra e Gianmauro Cozzi. Gli albi saranno scritti da Antonio Serra, Stefano Vietti e Alberto Ostini (tutti sceneggiatori provenienti dallo staff di Nathan Never), mentre ai disegni troverete (in rigoroso ordine alfabetico) Alessandro Bignamini (Mister No, Brad Barron), Silvia Corbetta (Nathan Never), Simona Denna (Legs Weaver, Agenzia Alfa), Sergio Giardo (Storie da Altrove), Anna Lazzarini (Legs Weaver, Brad Barron), Francesca Palomba, Antonella Vicari e Melissa Zanella, tutte e tre provenienti da Legs Weaver. La creazione grafica dei personaggi, la progettazione di tutti i mezzi meccanici (ne vedete alcuni esempi nella sezione raggiungibile seguendo il link a inizio pagina) e le copertine portano invece la firma di Gianmauro Cozzi.

Nel 2009 si celebra l'anniversario dei 250 anni dalla storica firma con cui Arthur Guinness nel 1759 prendeva in affitto il St. James's Gate. I festeggiamenti del 250° raggiungeranno l'apice il 24 settembre, in onore di Arthur Guinness, il patron della birra GUINNESS. Nel "giorno di Arthur" si svolgeranno numerosi eventi in tutto il mondo per celebrare questa pietra miliare di una marka eccezionale. I festeggiamenti più vivaci avranno luogo naturalmente a Dublino, la patria della GUINNESS, dove migliaia di persone si ritroveranno ad assaporare concerti di musica dal vivo in oltre 30 punti della città, dai più riservati pub della capitale ai veri e propri teatri musicali, culminando con un concerto proprio nel birrificio di St. James’s Gate.

Arthur Guinness nasce a Celbridge, nella contea di Kildare, nel 1725. Pare che Arthur abbia appreso i primi rudimenti dell'arte della birrificazione dal padre Richard, che, in qualità di amministratore terriero, si dedicava anche alla produzione di birra per i lavoratori delle terre di Arthur Price, poi diventato l'arcivescovo di Cashel. Nel 1759, all'età di 34 anni, Arthur Guinness firma un contratto per avere in affitto il birrificio di St James's Gate a Dublino per 9000 anni al prezzo di 45 sterline l'anno. Lo stabilimento misurava allora appena 4 acri, era in disuso e male attrezzato, ma in soli 10 anni, e nonostante la concorrenza delle birre di importazione inglese, Arthur riesce ad esportare la sua birra in Gran Bretagna. Le prime produzioni riguardano la classica birra al malto "ale", ma dal 1770 Arthur inizia a produrre la "porter", un nuovo tipo di birra scura inglese. Arthur era sposato con Olivia Whitmore, da cui ha avuto 21 figli, dieci dei quali sopravvivono all'infanzia. Quando Arthur muore gli succede il figlio Arthur Guinness II. L'azienda nel corso dei secoli è passata nelle mani di 6 generazioni di Guinness. Arthur Guinness II sviluppa ulteriormente l'azienda del padre, aumenta le esportazioni e inizia a produrre la nuova "Extra Superior Porter". Nel 1830, il St. James's Gate è il birrificio più produttivo ed esteso d'Irlanda. Arriva lo scudo fiscale. È stato presentato un emendamento alla manovra d'estate in commissione Bilancio e Finanze alla Camera a firma dei relatori , Chiara Moroni e Maurizio Fugatti. Emendamento poi ritoccato nel primo pomeriggio prevedendo che nessun reato potrà beneficiare dello scudo fiscale. Nell'emendamento presentato stamattina, invece, venivano beneficiati reati come il falso in bilancio, il riciclaggio, la ricettazione e la bancarotta. Nella nuova versione nessun reato potrà più essere salvato a eccezione della dichiarazione infedele e dell'omessa dichiarazione. Un'altra modifica  riguarda il campo di applicazione: é stata eliminata la possibilità di regolarizzare, senza rimpatriarle, le somme detenute in Paesi aderenti allo spazio economico europeo. Ora la facoltà di non rimpatriarle resta solo per i Paesi Ue. Cambia infine la data di avvio dello scudo: dal 15 ottobre prossimo si passa al 15 settembre.

Cosa prevede la norma. «La norma prevede - si legge nella relazione tecnica - l'istituzione di un'imposta straordinaria sulle attività finanziarie e patrimoniali, detenute fuori dal territorio dello Stato» e a «condizione che le stesse vengano rimpatriate in Italia da paesi extra Ue, nonché regolarizzate, ovvero rimpatriate, purché in essere in paese dell'Unione europea». Nel corso della conferenza stampa al termine del Consiglio dei ministri Giulio Tremonti, ministro dell'Economia, ha ricordato che lo scudo fiscale dovrà avere «l'ok dell'Europa». Polemizzando con un giornalista americano - che aveva chiesto al responsabile dell'Economia come si possano conciliare lo scudo fiscale e la lotta all'evasione e come mai abbia cambiato idea sullo scudo fiscale rispetto agli intenti etici dichiarati al G-8- Tremonti ha detto che «il vero beneficio di questo provvedimento è chiudere la caverna di Ali Babà, perché è inutile fare finta di contrastare l'evasione fiscale, quando si lasciano aperti i paradisi fiscali». Tutti i Paesi, ha detto il ministro, «prevedono meccanismi di rimpatrio: alcuni li fanno un po' dopo la campagna elettorale, altri già li fanno come in America o li hanno già annunciati come in Gran Bretagna. Nessuno però prevede effetti discriminanti fuori dal puro campo fiscale. È questo è naturalmente anche il nostro impegno».

Aliquota complessiva del 5%, applicazione sulle attività finanziarie e patrimoniali detenute almeno al 31 dicembre 2008 o rimpatriate e regolarizzate a partire dal 15 settembre 2009 e fino al 15 aprile 2010: questi i due aspetti principali dell'emendamento sullo scudo fiscale.
Garantito l'anonimato. L'emendamento prevede che l'imposta si applichi su un rendimento lordo presunto in ragione del 2% annuo per i cinque anni precedenti il rimpatrio o la regolarizzazione senza possibilità di scomputo di eventuali perdite e con un'aliquota sintetica del 50% l'anno, comprensiva di interessi e sanzioni e senza diritto allo scomputo di eventuali ritenute e crediti. L'emendamento garantisce l'anonimato e prevede che "il rimpatrio ovvero la regolarizzazione si perfezionano con il pagamento dell'imposta e non possono in ogni caso costituire elemento utilizzabile a sfavore del contribuente, in ogni sede amministrativa o giudiziaria, in via autonoma o addizionale". Il gettito sarà inserito in una contabilità speciale e potrà essere utilizzato a partire dal 2010.

Nessun accertamento. Al nuovo scudo non saranno applicati accertamenti, come è già successo per le passate edizioni.
Aumentano le sanzioni, ma viene eliminata la confisca.L'emendamento prevede anche l'aumento delle sanzioni per l'omessa dichiarazione di detenzione di investimenti e attività all'estero: potrà variare dal 10 al 50%, (mentre ora varia dal 5 al 25%) ma viene eliminata la possibilità di confisca.

Stima del gettito: un euro. «Per quanto riguarda le valutazioni sul gettito, non si ascrivono per ora effetti finanziari - si legge nella relazione tecnica - se non nella misura simbolica di 1 euro per sola memoria per le seguenti considerazioni: assoluta imprevedibilità del numero dei soggetti interessati che potrebbero aderire all'iniziativa e conseguentemente della quota delle attività finanziarie e patrimoniali oggetto di rimpatrio e regolarizzazione; indeterminabilità della effettiva distribuzione temporale dell'eventuale gettito tra l'anno 2009 e l'anno 2010».
In coerenza con queste considerazioni l'articolo dispone che «le maggiori entrate derivanti dallo stesso affluiscono ad apposita contabilità speciale per essere destinate in conformità con le indicazioni contenute nel Dpef per gli anni 2010-2013, all'attuazione della manovra di bilancio per l'anno 2010 e seguenti così come previsto dall'articolo» sui flussi finanziari del decreto legge anticrisi.

Per attuare i propri intenti le Tre Alte Reggenze del Male hanno deciso di inviare nel nostro mondo, allo scopo di imparare la crudeltà e la violenza umana, i propri Principi, tre bellissimi e cattivissimi adolescenti, "maestri" (come i legittimi genitori) di malvagità ed ingiustizia.Essi, preceduti dai propri servitori (un'avanguardia composta da innocui ma ubbedienti Martufi del Paese dei Martufi, e da goffe ma agguerite Guardie di Cuori del Paese delle Noie, e da una scorta di ignoranti ma feroci Pirati), giungono sulla Terra, dove però le cose non vanno per nulla come nei piani.La prima sorpresa arriva con la scoperta di non essere caduti, (come il ciclone magico avrebbe dovuti portarli), nel "Regno del Kansas", ma bensì in una sconosciuta città galleggiante, di una non ben precisata penisola di non si sà bene dove.Tra l'altro la parola "caduti" va qui intesa nel senso letterale del termine dato che i tre precipitano realmente nella laguna antistante la città, sfracellandosi con il proprio vascello volante, in grado si di volare nell'Impero della Favola ma non sulla Terra dove le navi, "come risaputo" non volano.
Altra sorpresa sarà quella di scoprire che il mondo degli umani è già abitato da creature immaginarie, e per la precisione, quelle dell'immaginazione dei bambini e dei pazzi. Daitarn 3 (無敵鋼人ダイターン3, Muteki Kōjin Daitān 3?, letteralmente: "Daitarn 3, l'invincibile uomo d'acciaio") è una serie anime televisiva giapponese di genere mecha, prodotta dalla Sunrise e creata da Yoshiyuki Tomino, autore anche di Gundam, con il mecha design di Kunio Okawara e le musiche di Takeo Watanabe e Yuji Matsuyama.
La serie, composta di 40 episodi, è stata realizzata nel 1978, e trasmessa per la prima volta in Italia nel 1980.
Trama
All'inizio del XXI secolo, sulla Terra iniziano ad accadere strani avvenimenti e sparizioni misteriose di persone. Dietro a tutto ciò ci sono i Meganoidi, una razza di Cyborg creati su Marte dal professor Haran Sozo e poi sfuggiti al suo controllo. A capo di questa razza ci sono Don Zauker (una sorta di mostro di Frankenstein che parla in modo inintelligibile) e Koros (un'inquietante cyborg femminile dal fascino glaciale). Scopo finale dei Meganoidi è rendere schiavi gli esseri umani e poi trasformare i "migliori" in Meganoidi.A contrastare i loro piani c'è però Haran Banjo, il figlio del professor Sozo, che pilota il gigantesco robot trasformabile Daitarn 3. Ad affiancare Banjo ci sono inizialmente Garrison Tokida (il maggiordomo tuttofare) e Beauty Tachibana (una bionda mozzafiato figlia di un famoso imprenditore). A loro presto si aggiungono Reika Sanjo (un'agente dell'Interpol) ed il piccolo Toppi (un orfano salvato da Banjo).Comunque, il compito di Banjo non è facile, in quanto i Meganoidi hanno sviluppato una tecnologia sorprendente con cui hanno realizzato le Macchine della Morte (una strana sorta di astronavi/robot, spesso dotata di immense e improbabili mani) e che rende i Comandanti Meganoidi in grado di trasformarsi in enormi robot da combattimento (Megaborg) che daranno filo da torcere al Daitarn 3. La storia si sviluppa in maniere episodica, rivelando a poco a poco il passato di Haran Banjo, la sua spettacolare fuga da Marte con i Meganoidi alle calcagna e le ragioni del suo odio per loro. Dopo una serie di mirabolanti avventure che spazieranno dalla fantascienza, all'avventura in stile Indiana Jones, all'horror e così via, Banjo ed i suoi compagni combatteranno la battaglia finale, nel disperato tentativo di sventare il folle piano di Koros di far collidere Marte con la Terra.
A differenza di molte serie di "robottoni" sue contemporanee, in Daitarn 3 prevale un tono "giocoso" che, pur non evitando parti drammatiche o impressionanti, la rende decisamente atipica. Sono inoltre presenti dozzine di citazioni da cinema, libri, fumetti e TV : ad esempio, nell'episodio 32 la base dei Meganoidi è uguale alla Morte Nera di Guerre Stellari; nell'episodio 36, dove Banjo è oggetto di tortura psicologica, uno dei cattivi si chiama Phroid, chiara parodia di Sigmund Freud; in un altro episodio Banjo prende parte alle riprese di un film di Kung Fu e così via. Altra caratteristica peculiare della serie è che il Daitarn è uno dei pochi robot giganti dotati di proprie espressioni facciali.

Ultime cose da dire, la sera tra sabato e domenica, siamo stati a una sagra di paese a mangiare gli gnocchetti e fagioli! Ragazzi incredibili, un viaggio che è stato appagato alla grande con questo piatto!Il tutto incorniciato da canti (Rosella me dai , me la dai ,me la dai! La dai a tutti a me no! … Il ballo del canguro , guardi sotto la gonna e a me vien duro!...almeno cosi abbiam tradotto questi eccelsi canti!!!) Innaffiato con del buon vino che è arrivato fin al nostro b&b e ci ha accompagnato fino al mattino!

Il romanzo si fa leggere piacevolmente con la sua scrittura semplice e veloce, senza troppi fronzoli il Marrandino ci fa percorrere,anche se con l’ingenuità dell’esordio o forse il frenarsi consapevole per non perdersi in discorsi lunghi e tediosi, un viaggio attraverso l’esperienza di Davide e dei suoi amici, protagonista di un’avventura quotidiana, con quel sentore di situazioni che possono e accadono a tutti. Varie avventure, o esperienze che porteranno il protagonista a cambiare a maturare ,ad affrontare quelle disavventure che lo porteranno a trovarsi faccia a faccia con l’infame destino di Wile Coyote. Oltre all’esperienza di vita, il protagonista inizia,complice un furtivo incontro con una donna cantante di una rock-band , la sua scoperta musicale. Il romanzo si può dividere in vari capitoli musicali, la prima parte , l’introduzione del protagonista con il ricordo di un’estate che rimarrà per sempre, sempre come far ritornare alla mente quel dolce piano di Trouble dei Coldplay. Di li inizia la storia vera e propria. L’incontro con Laura, che passa le giornate tra università e le prove con il complesso rock, un impatto emotivo nato dall’ascolto della sua voce, che richiama la voce meravigliosamente crudele di P.J. Hrveyche e si fissa nella mente di Davide. La conoscenza va avanti, grazie a Raimondo, figlio dei fiori che vive in una scuola occupata, che diventa pusher di buona musica, Led Zeppelin, U2 e tanta vera musica si incomincia a insinuare nella vita di Davide. Poi arriva il mitico viaggio ad Amsterdam, come fare a non sentire in quei coffe shop, tra fumi e estasi un richiamo al ritmo reggheggiante del mitico Bob Marley e come fare a meno di Roxanne dei The Police , mentre si gira x i quartieri “rossi” alla scoperta di un fantomatico segreto! Poi c’è la parte finale del libro, il ritorno a casa con una scoperta sconcertante, come fare a non sentire il ritmo dei Blur di Song2 in quella corsa in scooter che finirà….chi legge lo saprà! E poi i due rush finali, il primo, ci farà conoscere come è frustrante avere una risposta a una domanda e non avere nessuno che te la ponga, e nello stare faccia afaccia con il destino di Wile Coyote sembra di ascoltare in sottofondo una dolce , bella e malinconica melodia dei The Cure, con la voce di Robert Smith che ci accarezza, e poi il secondo , che altri non è che un nuovo viaggio alla scoperta di una verità nascosta per far pagare un uno conto sospeso, come si fa a non sentire nella mente , durante la partenza di un viaggio Bitter sweet symphony dei The Verve. Questa è la storia adesso sta a voi leggerla e scoprire tutti i retroscena e i richiami musicali.
