Esattamente 20 anni dopo il loro primo approdo in sala, firmato Steve Barron, Leonardo, Donatello, Raffaello e Michelangelo sono pronti a tornare al cinema con l’ennesimo reboot. La Platinum Dunes di Michael Bay ha infatti in cantiere il ritorno delle Tartarughe Ninja, nuovamente in live action, dopo il cartoon in CGI di Kevin Munroe del 2007. La buona notizia è che a scrivere lo script saranno Art Marcum e Matt Holloway, già visti all’opera con Iron Man, chiamati a ridare lustro al nuovo Highlander della Summit e pagati ben 1 milione di dollari per far rivivere le quattro Tartarughe, per un mix di azione e comicità che dovrà far ripartire un possibile franchise, morto nel 1993 con il pessimo Tartarughe Ninja III. L’intenzione della Platinum, infatti, è quella di ricreare una vera e propria saga multimilionaria in stile Transformers. Nubi cariche di dubbi sul possibile regista della pellicola, per un fumetto, nato nel 1984 dalle menti di Kevin Eastman e Peter Laird, pronto a tornare alla ribalta possibilmente entro la fine del 2012. Art Marcum e Matt Holloway dovranno infatti presentare ai produttori entro la fine ottobre una bozza di script.
