Sarà Zack Snyder, regista di successi come "300" e "Watchmen", a dirigere il prossimo film di "Superman". Il regista ha vinto la concorrenza di big come Guillermo del Toro, Robert Zemeckis e Darren Aronofsky. Una scelta che lascia intendere l'alto profilo del progetto messo in cantiere. Sul film non ci sono ancora notizie ma Christopher Nolan, che lo produrrà e ha letto la sceneggiatura, lo ha definito "incredibilmente eccitante". Una delle poche certezze che si possono avere riguardo questa nuova incarnazione dell'uomo d'acciaio è che sarà decisamente personale e rivisitata. I nomi di Nolan e Snyder in tal senso sono una garanzia. Basti pensare a come Nolan ha ricostruito il personaggio di Batman in "Batman begins" e "Il cavaliere oscuro". Mentre Snyder sembra essersi specializzato in film tratti da fumetti dove i protagonisti sono tratteggiati con grande profondità psicologica, da "300" a "Watchmen". Per accettare questo incarico Snyder dovrà rinviare alcuni progetti che aveva in cantiere, come "Xerses", lo spin-off di "300", e "Sucker Punch", un film d'azione con grandi effetti speciali. Ovviamente adesso il passo successivo è trovare l'attore che possa incarnare Clark Kent/Superman offrendo una nuova prospettiva a un personaggio che in passato è stato interpretato dal compianto Christopher Reeve e, in maniera decisamente meno memorabile, da Brandon Routh, novello Dylan Dog. Su questo Nolan sembra avere ancora idee vaghe... "A essere onesti - ha detto a Mtv - non ci ho ancora nemmeno pensato".
