The film stills of David Kassman, depicting Spider-Man in highly symbolic places (such as a section of the Israeli barrier in the West Bank or the Western Wall, under an Egyptian pyramid and along the remains of the Berlin Wall) are now on display until November 18 at the Art Gallery of Ferrate Tel Aviv. The suspension of superhero Kassman (photographer born in Israel, has spent the last fifteen years, taking photos all over the world, and today Shankar teaches photography at the University of Art in Tel Aviv) becomes in these images an unsettling presence, and with a virus of hope in the process of building peace. In Spider-Man costume instead of his brother's Ran, a veteran of the war in Lebanon, "a very brutal it could not forget" says the photographer. After four years of work and many travel from one end of the globe, the exhibition "Spiderman Project" has now been set up in the gallery Ferrate Tel Aviv, where he will be on display until November 18.
