JESOLO - ll primo concorso di bellezza nazionale dell'estate è andato in onda su Rai 1, ieri sera, condotto da Massimo Giletti e Cristina Chiabotto. In premio c'era la diciannovesima fascia di Miss Italia nel mondo, ovvero la ragazza di origini italiane più bella. Incoronata da Mara Venier, presidente di giuria, Kimberly Castillo Mota, nuova Miss Italia nel Mondo 2010 non ha, come tradizione vuole, retto all'emozione ed è scoppiata nelle lacrime di protocollo. Nata a Higuey, nella Repubblica Dominicana, 22 anni il prossimo 26 agosto, Kimberly è alta 1.80, ha i capelli castani e gli occhi marroni. La giovane studia architettura e contemporaneamente è una modella: ha due fratelli e tre sorelle e una storia struggente alle spalle. Abbandonata dalla mamma quando era piccola è cresciuta con la nonna e il papà Antonio al quale deve le origini italiane, calabresi, della provincia di Cosenza. Per la prima volta in Italia, Kimberly ha una grande attrazione, e non poteva essere diversamente, per il nostro Paese e in particolar modo, da futuro architetto, è affascinata dal Colosseo e dal Vaticano. Al secondo posto del concorso si è classificata Giuseppina Cannella, Miss Germania e al terzo posto Miss Amazzonia, Esmeralda Yaniche.
