Durante Mantova Comics & Games 2010,il direttore editoriale Marco M. Lupoi e lo staff Panini hanno anticipato alcune novità Panini Comics per il 2010.Un evento denominato  PANINI MYSTERY PANEL. Per il  secondo semestre 2010 la Panini lancerà una nuova etichetta editoriale dal titolo PANINI NOIR, dedicata alle crime/mistery/spy story più importanti degli ultimi anni. Dalle pagine di questa nuova linea verranno pubblicate, alcuni titoli di rilievo apparsi sotto l’etichetta VERTIGO CRIME della DC Comics nonché alcune opere del noir classico quali HISTORY OF VIOLENCE e ROAD TO PERDITION (ERA MIO PADRE) ben noti anche per le rispettive versioni cinematografiche. All’interno dell’etichetta PANINI NOIR andranno a confluire sia l’intera linea VERTIGO CRIME (eccetto la graphic-novel di Hellblazer), sia titoli provenienti da altri editori e Paesi. Si comincerà con due titoli di eccezionale spessore che di recente hanno sconvolto il pubblico e la critica americana per la loro impressionante originalità: parliamo di FILTHY RICH, dall’autore collezionista di Eisner Award, Brian Azzarello (100Bullets, Joker), e dal disegnatore dell’acclamata serie francese Young Ronin, Victor Santos. Segue la graphic-novel THE CHILL, con testi di Jason Starr per i disegni di Mick Bertilorenzi. Entrambi i titoli vedranno l’apporto del grande Lee Bermejo alle copertine. Dal punto di vista tecnico viene anticipato che i volumi saranno del tutto simili alle edizioni originali, cartonati in formato tascabile. Sesso, lusso, avidità, cinismo, i più laidi e luridi istinti del noir trovano spazio in due opere che colgono alla perfezione la psicosi e la natura più oscura del genere, rimaneggiandole in maniera intelligente e scioccante. Due titoli imprescindibili per chi ha dimenticato cosa sia il brivido della lettura.Una rilettura del genere hard-boiled che ha messo d’accordo una moltitudine di consensi, in un’acclamazione unanime.
